I don't know if my friend, Connie, agrees, but I believe that low-end horses will see a drop in dollar value around the time the ban takes effect. Some people may hold onto their horses, expecting the plants to open up again when the fiscal budget is re-done in '06. But, I think, that for the most part, people are going to panic and believe that the carpet has been pulled out from under them. It will take them the rest of the year to calm down; therefore I believe that although the bottom will drop out of the market, it will be temporary, at most.
I've studied the effects of a ban on slaughter for over 7 years. It was way back then that I met Connie, whose post I am replying to now. Connie has been a dedicated warrior for the anti-slaughter movement, in spite of harsh opposition at times, especially in the old days when anti-slaughter people were few and far between on the Internet.
