Chris, I meant to say I 'listened again' to your bit on the radio the other week - thanks for alerting us. Very good it was too and I emailed the BBC to ask for more CZ.
I was reminded of the fact that if enough people of all ages are exposed to the music there will be plenty who will realise how great it is. And here is a little story for you Chris: my two grandchildren (6 & 10) are exposed from time to time (!) to CZ music as we drive and they are really getting a love for it. They know the tracks they like and ask me to play them, Steve Riley features strongly as do Cajun Roosters 'Little Lovin' and 'Promised Land'. So I said wait til you hear Johnny Allan's version (with Belton Richard's accordion) and Nathan the 10 year old said "I prefer the other version - the singng is better". There is just no accounting for taste!!
Actually Nathan is learning guitar and Molly fiddle so perhaps I should learn accordion - that would make a pretty unique band 'Grandad & the Grandkids'!!
Cheers y'all, see you in Saulieu.
Glyn
