I wonder if we are due another boom in CZ music & dance popularity? Thanks to Chris Hall's posts recently I listened again to the coverage on Radio 2's Mark Lamaar show - really encouraging. If everyone who reads this message board emails the BBC asking for more CZ - you never know! It is probably still the radio by which people are most likely to hear the music for the first time.
Also, for no apparent reason, we have just had the most successful dance workshop series since the original boom of the early nineties and we had a gig on 4th July which SOLD OUT - we even had a couple of 17 year olds there who loved it! John Womack's excellent Cajun band from the Scarborough area get better and better - if you like your Cajun music with a country tinge, you will love this band (contact John on 01723 506980 or email me)
Perhaps next season the festivals might put more CZ bands on. How does that happen then - how will festival organisers decide to book Cajun bands?
