Chris Hall wins tonight's star prize which, after reading just how much he was influenced by Nathan Abshire, is only fitting.
Nathan Abshire was a remarkable man, humble and poorly educated - but his music and his spirit have inspired so many. His dying wish was that his music be buried with him. Fortunately this never happened and today his name is a mainstay of cajun culture.
