What another fantastic festival Chris Hall has put together this year! How do you do it Chris?
This one had the lot; Brilliant line up, Fabulous crowd of fans, Great staff at the Guildhall.
From one of the best Friday nights I can remember the weekend rocked with performances, dances, sessions and workshops of the very highest quality. There really was everything, we even had men in white coats - I mean white suits!
There was too much to tell you about here. If you weren't there - you damn well should have been! So if you want to know more you will have to ask me or someone else who went. However I must mention our Louisiana stars who really did show us how this music could be played. Steve Riley proved yet again that there is no one to touch him for musicianship, playing all the CZ instruments to perfection and with a singing voice to match - simply the best! Kevin Wimmer's fiddle was in a different class and in Chris Stafford there's a rising star for the next generation.
I am still reeling from the power and energy of that final sensational number on Sunday night with the stars of the weekend giving it one last almighty blast. It don't get any better than that.
