I recall a Greenpeace fundraiser years ago at Starkholmes (Matlock). The Bearcats were playing 'Watch That Dog' and a kid of about fourteen was break dancing to it. Really going at it. Chris Hall very rightly encouraged him ('Watch That Kid!' ) and gave him a tape (yes it was that long back!) after. I wonder if that kid, who must now be in his mid or late twenties, still follows C/Z.
I still think the future of the music in the UK depends on it's appeal to youngsters. If it's only appreciated by us old 'uns it will wither and die with us.
