Very many thanks to Chris Hall and The Guildhall for putting on another great Gloucester festival - one of the best ever for me (and I have been to a lot). I especially loved Randy Vidrine's distinctive singing, amazing fiddle playing from the 22 year-old Chris Segura, the Chavises, Joe Le Taxi (including their Zydeco version of the Mardi Gras Song), Lil' Jim, plus the beautiful traditional Cajun of the Hazel Scott Playboys on the Sunday evening. It's a great venue with that sprung dance floor (very rare - only once encountered elsewhere), the sound and lighting were excellent, it was not too crowded, it was smoke-free, had a lovely atmosphere and everything was well organised.
