Just like to add my comments for what was a fabulous weekend. For my money this was a much more enjoyable weekend than Saulieu, which was too much swamp pop and line dancing for my liking. I really hope that Gloucester will continue their support for this festival. Although the dance floor was certainly pretty busy I've seen it more crowded in a couple of previous visits. Those who didn't come for whatever reason have really missed a great festival. Further to Rees Wesson's comments, I haven't heard Joe le Taxi sound that good for several years. And the sheer enjoyment and love for the music that emanated from Leon and his dad 'chopper' was an absolute delight. I don't think two bigger smiles could have existed anywhere.
An award for special effort must go to Blue Bayou who seemed to have travelled over from France just for the sunday lunch gig.
So apart from the rather poor service at the New Inn everything else was great, well done and thank you to all musicians, dancers, guildhall staff, Gloucester council, and Chris Hall.
