Novinite.com The nearly two-century-old Bulgarian church of St. Georgi in Edirne has been inaugurated at a special ceremony attended by Bulgaria's prime minister. Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg expressed his content to be present at the revival of that ancient Bulgarian cultural and religious monument, a witness of the local region's U-turning history. He visited the northern Turkish town on May 9 to attend the special inauguration ceremony following a recent restoration of the church. Bulgarian prime minister visited also the local Selimiye Mosque and the other Bulgarian church in the area St. St. Konstantin and Elena, which is due to be reconstructed.
