
Posted by N on April 10, 2002, 15:37:54 Standartnews The Vatican has been willing to grant a church building in downtown Rome to the Bulgarian Orthodox Church (BOC), BTA released yesterday, quoting a source from the Vatican. Similar donations have been made to Greece and Romania. The church building has been constructed in 15 c. and is in downtown Rome. "BOC would be glad to receive such a donation, but it is the first time we heard the news," Archimandrite Boris, Secretary General of the Synod, elaborated. To him, Patriarch Maxim will probably discuss the issue during the visit of Pope John Paul II to Bulgaria in May.
