Patriarch Maxim Invites Pope To Synodal Palace.

Patriarch Maxim sent a letter of invitation to Pope John Paul II informing him of the place and the hour of their appointment, said Neophyte, Metropolitan of Dorostol-Cherven yesterday. The meeting of the two spiritual heads will take place in the Synodal Palace, at 11.30 a. m. on May 24, the Metropolitan specified for "Standart". The letter was composed and sent after all the bishops voted for it at the Holy Synod, in line with the Orthodox oecumenical legislation and diplomacy. "No one voted against the visit of Pope John Paul II to the Synodal Palace," Metropolitan Neophyte elaborated.
