Now that the scholastic wrestling season is concluded, for the most part, it is time to start thinking about getting your elementary guys into some more action next season. The Delmarva Elementary Wrestling League is a Dual Meet format, with talent from Smyrna, Rehoboth, Wicomico, Lake Forest, Seaford, CR, Worcester, Talbot, Middletown, and Sussex Central already involved, your team would get alot of experience. Last year the kids had 9 dual meets, and a Individual League Tournament. It would be nice to see Milford, Dover, and Laurel get into the mix, as well as, the JV CYO teams from above the ditch. In the Bantam, Midget, and Junior Divisions at the State Tournament alone, 26 kids from this league made the state finals, with 13 crowned champions, that's just from the Delaware teams. I know several of the Wicomico boys done very well in the Maryland States this year. A total of 53 kids from the league, made their way to the medal stand at States. Just a thought.
