Posted by jeanne gaetano These will be held Sunday, January 7, 2007 at Mardela High School, in Mardela MD. The FREE* (*with USA card) clinic will begin at 2pm. Clinicians will be Coach Sam Gardner of McDaniel College and eastern shore wrestling greats, the Blake Brothers. The clinic will focus on wrestling from a standing position and will cover basics for use from junior league up to NCAA Division I. The clinic will be approximately 2 hours long. Last year's clinic saw about 100 area wrestlers (mostly high school age). Please encourage all eastern shore wrestlers and coaches to attend this event. USA cards will be avaiable at the door and provide insurance, a wrestling magazine subscription and other benefits. USA cards are required for most freestyle tournaments, clinics and post-season open mats (including Delmarva Wrestling Club). Cards are only $24 for the year. The novice tournament will use a four-man round robin, madison weight format. Professional referees will be used. All participants will receive medals.
