My husband and I recently joined an antique car club, and of course, my new good friend in the group is a BC survivor! She was diagnosed at age 40, in 1990 when the treatment was different...chemo was apparently not the norm, even with invasive BC. She had a lumpectomy, 17 nodes removed (all clear), and rads, no chemo. She has been cancer free for 15 years! No lymphadema either, no problems at all.
