I just want to offer hope. I had a bi-lateral mastectomy April 1996. I also had chemo, Adrymycin and I believe Dioxin (not sure of name or spellings!). My cancer was 2.5mm and one positive lymph node. I also had saline reconstruction.
I rarely think about my BC except when I have my bi-annual check-ups. My advice is to stay positive and look to the future. Join a breast cancer support group where you actually meet breast cancer survivors. I was fortunate to also have a Wellnes Center nearby and they gave me so much support.
