I am a triple negative and unfortunately I am stage 4 mets to my liver and possibly now my spine. I was dx 12/10/03. I am 40 yrs old with a great husband and two great kids, a son who is 12 1/2 and a daugher who will be 11 on July 5th. The fact of the situation are not good, I know this. I have had both breasts removed and have had part of my liver removed but unfortunately the cancer came back in the liver. I am on my forth try at chemo, this is the second kind that has made me lose my hair, I did TAC in the beginning and then tried a study in NY at Sloan Kettering but that did not work, Took Zeloda with not response and now I am on Taxol/Carboplatimun. I know that this will kill me someday I just dont know when. I try to live for today and not worry about tomorrow however being bald makes it very hard. You have to try and keep as positive as you can. Maybe someday soon they will come up with a drug that will benefit us.
