Hi Tracy, Stage 2, left mod. radical mastecomy last March, 4 doses of adriamycin with 4 doses of cytoxan (a/c) followed by 4 doses of Taxol (from the Pacific Yew tree.) Turned down radiation. What is left to radiate after a mastectomy. 45 at diag., 3 kids, 14, 12, 10. They knew what was going on and were great. I have my down times, especially since I went through menopause in 4 months (chemo did this) and the Tamoxifen stops any remaining estrogen from doing anything. Decreasing estrogen frequently leads to depression. Exercise can help, keep up the walks.
So many people belong to the "walking wounded" club. Any support groups near you? American Cancer Society? Hang in there!
