Hi, My name is Linda.
I don't remember if I posted on this board or not.
I was diagnosed last July with infiltrating ductal carcinoma, stage three, with 8 out of 11 nodes that were cancerous , for sure.. I had some nodes matted together , around 3 cm, in addition to the 11 that were removed. Had cancer around a blood vessel in my arm.. The vein had to be cut to remove the cancer. It had also spread to nerves under my arm.. My right breast had several cancerous places, all amounting to about 5 cm.
I am er/pr negative and Her2 negative.
One lady dr. I was going to then , told me it was very aggressive, and would most likely kill me.
She told me this before I had any treatment.
I did have 4 rounds of Adriamycin and cytoxin.
I had a really hard time with the chemo. My blood counts went very low, and I was really ill, most the entire months I took it. Maybe had one day where I would feel better..
I will mention that I have a rare liver disease, where huge cysts are all over my liver, making it extremely huge..
Anyway, I didn't take the taxol, as it has a preservative in it that I am allergic to.. I took 6 weeks of radiation.
Is anyone doing well with a prognosis similiar to this.. ? It seems most everyone is er/pr + or her2+.. I was staged at 2.
I would appreciate any feedback.
I live in fear of it returning. I think mostly, because I didn't have the full, treatment that is the norm.
I go for my 3 month check up this month.
Thanks for taking the time to read this..
Blessings,
Lyn
