I was diagnosed with Stage IIIA in May 2002. It was a long year of treatment - two surgeries, 8 rounds of chemo and 25 rads. Then a year of Tamox and another year of Arimidex. Long story short...Now I'm approaching my 3rd anniversary NED!!!! It's a tough road, but it does get easier with time. Your wife is so lucky to have a caring husband.
