My mother was diagnosed with bc 7 years ago, with 4 positive lymph nodes. She was 79 years old and had surgery and radiation. She took 5 years of tamoxifen and is now working her way through Femara. She decided against doing chemo. She is soon to be 86 years old and is cancer free and doing fine. She believes the surgery and radiation cured her and the hormone pills keep her safe from cancer. She eats and drinks whatever she wants and doesn't seem to spend one second worrying about it.
