Hi Debbie
Sorry to hear about your mother.
I had invasive ductal BC.had mast.right breast, one node positive.Because of the node being positive i had scans also for a base line when i was to do chemo.well the CT scan showed 2 leasions on the liver. than onc. odered MRI.it was very sugestive of mets,so he ordered a biopsy.it turned out to be mets to liver but MRI picked up 4 leasions , not too big. any how treatment was changed from chemo and a cure.to Hormoneal treatment Femara, and the disease being treatable not cureable I have been takeing Femara
a little over 1 year. I am ER/PR+ her2-, well the good news is as of Oct.2006 Iam NED. no evidance of disease. my liver is normal.Only treatment from the start is Femara,( hormone treatment)Just wanted to give you some hope.My onc said people can live many years with liver mets.hormone treatment takes longer to work but ,my cancer is grade 1 slow growing so this durg worked for me. we are all different and respond to treatment differently.
Good Luck and God Bless
