Sure, Maureen, there are plenty of fresh veggies, fruits (strawberries, raspberries, black currants, grapes, gooseberries, apples, pears, cherries, elderberries...), flowers, herbs, and weeds to share. Native prairie restoration, too. My yard has been certified as Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. When you're finished with your treatment, come visit---I have an extra hoe you can use! And when we're done weeding, we'll hop a plane and go hiking in some gorgeous redrock canyon, with the canyon wrens singing and the sun on our backs, and we'll look for cougar tracks and wrestle those kitties to the ground with our bare hands. Ha! No stopping us!
Maureen, I know you're getting anxious about your chemo. The fear is the worst part! You'll get through it fine! It's not as bad as we all imagine beforehand. Think positive!
