Shayna--You never have to pay to audition for a Footlighters show however everyone cast is asked to become a member. For a $50 fee you recieve 4 tickets and since tickets are $15 you are acually saving $10 on tickets prices. Sorry for the previous incorret answer. I just wanted to clear it up for you. I hope you still are considering auditioning.
