Well, I figured I'd return to see if I drew a response.
Ron, I thought we were getting the 'real' message boards, and that is what I would want. I assumed the higher price was for the extensive daily updates, for MACK, etc.
For me, I already buy the book, and the updated preseason values are not nearly worth another $27. I also can figure myself what a player's current stats are worth, and with playing time clearer and so forth, what they are likely to do down the road. So for me and many others, the usefulness of Bottom Line died by the end of April along with the message board (or arguably, on Opening Day).
: I agree that this board has died. It's a
: product of this being a start-up service and
: the volume of subscriobers nowhere near that
: of the full version of Baseball HQ. However,
: although this forum has not worked out, we'll
: have to replace it with something else next
: year. For those who have experienced a full
: BHQ subscription, what would you want to see
: here in its place?

: I must agree. I thought there would be a
: little bit more interaction on the message
: board. Maybe the main site has an active
: message board, but I basically stopped coming
: here a couple weeks ago and have assumed the
: sunk cost of the Bottom Line.

: Well, a couple of us tried to make this a
: legit
: place to post.
: Like me, they may have misunderstood the
: come-on for the $27, thinking that they got
: the real HQ message board along with the
: price of admission.
: Instead, we're left with this. No offense to
: those others who did post, but this is of
: little use to any of us.
: Ron, I'll take the hit for misunderstanding
: what I was getting. But for your own 2005
: considerations, I'm not sure this worked out
: so well for the customers.........
