Myers has not pitched well so far and may be demoted in the short future - his hit rate so far is an astronomical 44% (league avg is 30), so you know that will come down as he's too good of a pitcher. Lawrence isn't pitching much better, with a 38 hit%, and a horrible 1.3 command (his previous three years are 2.3, 2.9, and 2.0). His dominance (k ratio) is up to 6.1, but so are his HRs at 1.4. If you look at his 2nd half last year, his stats seem to be worsening. As our sample size is only one month, you always risk the chance veteran pitchers will bounce back, while at the same time missing out on up-and-comers if you don't act quick enough. Dubose's stats from last year seemed promising, although he had a 25% hit rate. His hit rate so far is even lower (20%), so one would expect it to rise, along with his ERA and WHIP. My advice would be to hold on to both for at least one more week and see if Myers is sent down. If he is and Dubose is still available, it fits. If Myers pitches better and Lawrence doesn't, then think about Lawrence for Dubose. As for a Manny-Schilling deal, offer it up. ALWAYS take top pitching over top hitting.
