I agree entirely. We need something for those of us that are in a draft league, not an auction. This is a major deficiency.
: I, too, just signed up and I'm a little
: disappointed that there's not a straight
: draft option for this. My league does tend to
: favor hitting over pitching, so I'm using the
: 190/70 split. Would still be nice to have a
: more accurate straight draft tool, though.

: Thanks for the responses guys.

: Set it at a level you feel comfortable.
: 170/90
: is pretty standard. But, if you value
: hitting more than pitching, set it closer to
: 190/70 and vice versa.

: I don't think it really matters. The
: Valuator
: is made to give an idea of auction
: values....I don't think it is designed for
: straight drafts. However, if you input
: everything else for your league, just use the
: list and values as a rough guide for when a
: player should be drafted.....ie the higher
: the value, the higher the round they should
: theoretically be drafted. Not really the
: design of it, but it should work out OK.
: By the way, where is everybody around here??
: I thought there would be a lot more postings
: going on. Granted it is early, but not THAT
: early!!

: I meant "Pitching/Hitting split".

: I'm new to the site and I'm enjoying it quite
: a
: bit but I do have some questions regarding
: the setting up of the Player Valuator.
: I'm in a league that doesn not have an
: auction, just a live draft. I'm not sure
: which selection I should make in the
: "Pitcher/Hitter ratio tab". Maybe
: I'm dumb, but any advice would be greatly
: appreciated as I'd like to print out a cheat
: sheet because I have a draft tomorrow night.
: Thanks again.
