Custom Valuator

I am having some trouble reconciling the custom valuator tool.
I ask for a split of 170/90 with a standard AL 12 team league. I should get 168 offensive players worth $2040 and 108 pitchers valued at $1080. I get 160 hitters valued at $1940 and 120 pitchers valued at $1202.
Can you explain the discrepancies or is the tool not balanced like this?
