Understanding Player Valuator

Hey everyone. I consider myself a pretty knowledgable fantasy player. This is the first time I have paid for any fantasy info, besides magazines of course. I'm just wondering if anyone else is having trouble understanding the dollar values for some of the players in the Valuator. It's hard to take any of them to heart when there's a lot that don't make sense. Any opinions would be appreciated.
