Is there any reason to keep Acevedo?

In our AL 4x4 league we can only release a player if he is DL'ed/released/sent to the minors. Needless to say, I was happy when the Yankees cut Acevedo loose. However, before I do, I heard a rumble that Texas might be interested in him and I have also read that they may consider trading Urbina at some point. Does anyone think I should consider keeping Acevedo on the chance that he might claim the closer's role in Texas? I know it is alot of if's.
