Pre-emptive Strike: Rich Harden

In my non-keeper, no-reserves league, Rich Harden is available because, of course, he has no value while in the minors.
So here's the deal: Everyone else will wait until a) the A's make an announcement or b) Aaron Harang blows up in the 3rd inning.
But...I could preemptively just buy him from the free agent pool for our standard pickup fee and hope every thing goes my way. If I'm wrong, I'd have to spend another pickup fee to drop Harden. I'd be pissing dollars away.
What do you think? Who thinks Harang will blow up and Harden is on his way? Do I strike now?
