Posted by MikeD on 6/11/2003, 11:37 am The Denver Post reports today that "The position isn't the only thing different about second baseman Juan Uribe. He has changed his batting stance, significantly lowering his hands, creating a more compact stroke. ..." With that more compact stroke Uribe has struck out 3 times in 30 AB since returning from the DL, with 2 BB. Last year's numbes were 566 AB, 120 K and just 34 BB. Obvioulsy we have a tiny statistical sample this year, but has to be cause for hope. Could be worth owning.
Is Juan Uribe learning plate discipline?
