My gr gr gr grandfather was James Hindsley Bromley. He and wife Charlotte were of the Hardwicke Settlement and their eldest son my gr gr grandfather, also named James Hindsley , I believe was born there.They later moved to Porirua Ferry where the rest of the children were born.James died May 2nd 1878. Charlotte August 25th 1893 ,and son James December 14th 1892 aged 40.After James death Charlotte moved to the Rangitikei district and the decendents to this day, largely reside.
