James apparently came from Sheffield, and there was a Captain Bromley on the "Success" - wrecked Bluff ca1845 (he'd have been 24 at the time) Cheers - Sam - Stewart Is (NZ) PS - seem to be a few familar faces ont his board.. I have recently discovered I descend from James Bromley and Charlotte Bower of the Enderby Settlement. Alas, not through son James, who was born there, but his sister Isabella, b 1854. I have a copy of "Enderby Settlement Diaries" to hand.
