Greetings:

My name is Bill Burnett from Hamilton, Montana USA.

I am doing research on the shipwreck of the General Grant and the subsequent attempts to locate the exact wreck site and salvage the gold that was presumably aboard the ship. My ultimate aim is to produce a video documentary on the wreck and on the stories of the survivors.

I am in need of good quality still images (digital scans) of the survivors mentioned in this thread and I am especially intested in video clips of the Auckland Islands. Any and all contributions to this effort are welcome and will receive full acknowledgement and credit in the documentary. One particular dilemna is that I have been unable to find a photo of the General Grant or of its Captain, William Loughlin. If anyone knows of where I might obtain these, any information or leads would be appreciated.
