see my posts to phillip boulton please!!onboard the ship was over two thousand ounces of gold!!this is perhaps why there is such a renewed interest in the vessel and the exact cliff face where it came to grief!!!there are articles in the old harper weekly magazines of the late 1800's and there is a fine collection in san bernardino's library which i think is complete and entire;if you venture that way in california!!it covers shelves and shelves!!bound in black cloth covers 3 to 4 inches thick and filled with steel engravings of this and other newsworthy disasters!!i'm searching for more information myself on the ship, images and engravings, and perhaps photos;but it's a little uphill!!i'll keep you posted of anything that i'm able to encounter!!
