Seeing the dramatic rise in the number of people using iPhones, Blackberrys and other mobile devices to browse the web, we thought Assyrian Voice should let its users have that option too. Whether you are traveling, at an airport, at work or anywhere else, you can now access a new Assyrian Voice version, optimized for mobile devices. It is a smaller version, and doesn’t need scrolling which can get very annoying and tiring on mobile phones. The sections you can see and access have also been optimized so you can only see the ones that can work in your device. For example, the chat version you will see is a different one from our chat which you can access from a normal computer. It is a lighter version optimized for mobile phones.
This is still in the testing stage and we hope that our users can test this version on different devices and provide us with feedback. We need to know what works, what needs to be further optimized and what doesn’t work at all. We also wouldn’t mind you sending us pictures of what our Assyrian Voice mobile version (assyrianvoice.net/mobile) looks like in your mobile screen.
We are proud to be virtually the first Assyrian website to offer a complete optimized version for mobile devices. You have two options to get to this version: you can either visit our home page and click on the ‘AVN Mobile’ button on the top of the right column (with an iPhone icon) Or you can type the URL in your mobile browser : www.AssyrianVoice.net/mobile
Last, and to save our users even more time, we will soon be getting a new and shorter URL for you to access our mobile website. Typing long URLs on small mobile devices can get tedious and annoying, and we would like to eliminate that issue as well.
