The story is about a student who had a BAD temper and manners.
His teacher was determined somehow to correct the manners of this smart aleck student.
One day the teach gave him a bag of nails and a hammer, and told him you have a choice every time that your temper flares you must go to the school yard and drive a nail into wooden fence or you stay home from the class.
The student agreed to take the nails and hammer.
The first day the student the student had driven 37 nails into fence.
Over next few weeks he learned to control his temper and anger the number of nails hammered daily into fence post gradually dwindled down.
finally The student came to his senses and realized, it was much easier and more pleasant to hold his temper and his peace than the task of driving a nail into wooden post.
One day the teacher noticed the student didn’t lose his temper any more. He told the student from now on every day that he was able to hold his temper and anger to go out and pull only one nail a day from the fence.
The day came when the boy pulled out all of the nails from the wooden fence.
The teacher congratulated the student for his accomplishment in front of all the class, most of the students came forward and shook hands with him.
However, some stayed silent in their seats and never spoke to the boy.
The teacher took the boy out side to the wooden fence
And said you have done well by controlling your anger.
But take a look what you have done to the beautiful wooden fence!
It will never be the same with all those holes and cracks in that fence.
Likewise when you say things in anger your words leave scares in the hearts and minds of those that you direct your words,
it is much like you stab a person with knife, it won’t matter how many times you say I’m sorry the scare will always be there.
A verbal ugly words are as bad as a physical ones.
The moral of this unique lesson learned hard way is:
GOOD AND DECENT FRIENDS ARE A RARE JEWELS A GIFT FROM GOD
HOLD ON TO GOD AND GOOD FRIENDS LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPEND ON THEM.
Jesus said: THERE IS NO GREATER LOVE THAN A FRIEND THAT GIVES HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIEND.
FROM SOME ONE WHO LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE
