REPEATED USE OF NASAL SPRAY HAS SIDE EFFECTS.
Just read this in the local paper............It is so true as my mothers nose is
totally messed up from ongoing use of OTC Nasal Spray.
Over-the-counter internasal spray is readily available at all stores and is freely used to try to alleviate the swelling and drainage that many of us suffer from. Nasal spray works by shrinking the lining of the nose, thus giving relief to congestion, alleviating symptoms and sending the person a message that they have had a positive response, resulting in recurrent use of the spray.
The problem is that there is a rebound congestion or swelling with increased use of nasal sprays.
The OTC sprays work on the large glandular tissue inside the nose, which has the purpose of humidifying and filtering the air and removing bacteria. After repeated use of the spray in a cycle of shrinking and rebound swelling, the tissues fatigue quicker, causing the person to use the spray more frequently and sending the person into an endless cycle of repeated spraying of the nose.
Some of the problems seen with repeated and chronic use of nasal sprays include infections of the nose and sinus, perforation of the nasal cartilage, tinging, burning and discomfort, as well as high blood pressure, palpitations of the heart, insomnia.
Since my mom uses Nose Spray.........she can not breath with out.........she now is having heart palpitations............so you see this article is right on target!
Please share this newletter with people you care about as I did with my mom.
