Just wanted to say thanks Jenny for your email.
I just sent out 10 portfolios to some of the greeting card companies that looked interesting to me, if they respond in any way I will let you know. I sent each 8 original designs printed on 5x7s and also sent them copies of times I have been in magazines such as Lapadary Journal and newspaper writeups on my art. Hopefully at least one of the greeting card companies will take an interest, I'll let you know. A friend of mine said I should try to send to several each week since it seems there are about 2500 companies who accept freelance artist's for greeting, but I am on a limited budget, so I think in the beginning of this undertakeing I will only be able to send out maybe 10 packets a month. The postage on them was rather reasonable I thought, about 86 cents each plus a SASE inside for response. I can see the major costs in submitting packets is the ink and the paper along with the time envolved, ink cartrages are costly these days.
Sincerely,
Scott Rose
