The only thing I know about Thomas Goss b. in Dec. 1830 parents Samuel 0r Lemuel Goss and Grace Fenton. Thomas was in Niagra, NY with 1st with Sarah Howey- son Marshall L. Goss was b. there Dec. 29, 1858. Where in Canada 1860 - 1864/65. In PA in1866 . 1870 Census Venango Co. PA. Sarah is not listed w/ Thomas and children. I have 1840 Erie co. NY (Black Rock township) census with Lemuel/ Samuel Goss. Males 1 under 5 years old, 2 between 5 & 10, 1 between 40 & 50. Females 1 between 5 & 10 and 1 between 30 & 40 yrs. I have 1860 Niagra Co. Ny census Lemuel Goss living with son John b. abt. 1830 Canada and John's family. Thomas came to Gratiot Co. Mich. late 1879 or early 1880. There is also a John Goss in Gratiot co.(b. abt. 1832 NY) in 1880 census, but with different with wife. I found a Samuel Goss came to Washtenaw Co. MI with brother William from NY in 1840's. William liked MI and stayed, Samuel didn't like it and went back to NY. Jenny Griffin
