I have a feeling the Breaking Up rumour you heard is a leftover from the misleading quote Grant gave over the summer/fall where he said something about their 'Last record on Echo on the current contract they're signed on' or something similar-- basically, they were talking about whether they're going to stay with Echo or find a new label or something similar. It was one of those misquote things that a bunch of places ran rampant with and turned into 'Grant himself has said they're breaking up and all fighting and hate each other!' things.

That's not a long time when you consider that they have to find a time that the venues were unbooked and whatnot-- most venues are booked well in advance to prepare for moving of equipment, availabilty of staff, and whatnot.
