Posted by Dave Putnam In the past Anke Monker, who seems like a nice lady, used the ABNA for sanctioning of a show in Germany. The ABNA sanction that show, meaning that her show would be judged under the ABNA Standard by ABNA judges. The points would be tracked and recorded by the ABNA when the ABNA show secretary receives them from the Club hosting the ABNA show. By having an ABNA show, all dogs from all recognized registries are welcome, as was the show Anke Monker held in Germany. No club in the USA or the world for that matter is sanctioned by the ABNA, we do not sanction clubs, we sanction shows and working events only. Clubs are welcome to use the ABNA and breed to it's standard, but we as the ABNA do not lend our name to any other organization. Our world wide organization, the ABNA is not in the business of producing pedigrees, registering dogs, or sanctioning clubs. We only offer a venue for all the dogs of the breed to come together and compete in, no matter the registry they are under. We also offer that the accomplishments of those dogs be recorded by the ABNA, providing the hosting club submits the records of the event to the ABNA. The ABNA enjoys our involvement in the European American Bulldog community and hopes to build it's presence in Europe as well as the world. If you are interested in hosting an ABNA event, please contact any of our many representative or judges, we as an organization will consider all hosts. The ABNA was happy to have sanctioned all the shows we helped with in Europe, any group having hosted an ABNA show in the past is welcome to again, including Anke Monker. If you are involved in the registration business of American Bulldogs, as it seems to be a growing industry in Europe, please contact a representative or judge (listed on the web sight) and submit your registry for ABNA recognition. We do ask that registry businesses not use the ABNA name because the ABNA's mission has been to include all American Bulldogs, no matter the registry. We do not register dogs, we sanction events and record accomplishments. Here is our web sight Address: Thank you,

Dear concerned American Bulldog fanciers of Europe,
Here is a brief history of the events that I believe lead to the creation of the ABNA Germany/Europe:
