I wish to make Snyder & Cook aware of something I did over the past weekend. I went into a chat room on a Website. Neither the chat, nor the site, had anything to do with americanada. In fact, I'd bet safely that I was the only one in the room who'd ever heard of the idea. However, when I stepped into this room, I found myself immediately immersed in an argument between the inhabitants over which country was better: USA or Canada.
I had just recently visited the americanada site, & so was personally holding on to the idea that both sides have places in which they are superior to the other (the hockey, the beer, the land sizes/mass, etc.). Even if that were not the case, however, I found myself wondering if such a discussion does not hinder (if not altogether destroy) the chances of americanada ever happening. Not only were these people unwilling to concede to the other any areas (such as those mentioned above) where the other was possibly greater, but the fact that they were even having an argument over such a topic between the two countries made me wonder if they could ever truly "settle their differences" long enough to be brought together in one group, such as americanada.
