I must say that Mr. Church seems somewhat ambivalent in his recent statements. One one hand he "supports" americanada and wishes to concoct some kind of theatrical piece about the theory, yet at the same time he seems anatgonistic by suggesting its impractability and excessive idealism. Regardless, he is entitled to his opinion. The very purpose of this message board is to promote discussion and debate. Without opposition, americanada, as most anything, would be unable to achieve any semblence of "progress." However, I don't believe it to be responsibility of Charles and myself to highlight the negatives and create opposition for our idea. Obviously, a theoretical merger of such proportions would have its potential drawbacks. That goes without saying. I definitely encourage individuals to highlight deficiencies within the theory or the ideology in general. Indeed, realism is a very important concept, but dreams/theories inherently contain some element of idealism. That's the nature of an ideal. When someone strives for an ideal, say world peace, one realizes, or should realize, the obstacles and realistic problems facing the ideal. But does that mean that we shouldn't strive for the ideal? I would say no. Our current reality is comprised of the manifestations of certain "dreams," which probably seemed quite unrealistic and radical at the time they were posited. If we are unwilling to strive for worthy goals/ideals because they seem too difficult or "unrelaistic," we certainly are doomed. Thus, although americanada may indeed be a radical idea, I believe it to be a worthwhile pursuit, regardless of its seemingly daunting, realistic obstacles. Currently, Charles and myself are working on deepening the theoretical basis of the americanadian ideal and doing more research on the subject.
Thank you, Mr. Church for your insights and concerns.
