Actually, I think you will find to the contrary, in that the tubing is the least expensive part of the equation. If you look at musiciansfriend.com, or any other such site, you will see that clamps to hold toms and cymbals are at least 18.00 each. So, if you need to mount say, 3 toms and 3 cymbals, you are looking at nearly $120 right there.
