Ok, this is a big change from tung oiled natural maple. My kit looked good before, but appeared dark from a distance so you had no real pizazz for lights.
My finish is a multi-step coarse automotive white pearl with a clear coat and Maguires gold wax. Without a pro photographer (and lighting) there is *no way* to see the brilliant multi-chromatic metal flake effect. I wanted the hopps painted as well for a monochrome effect. I will have to get some real lighting. All drumheads are aquarian: super 2 on top, power thins on bottom and SKI on kicks. I am still waiting for my single gibraltar direct drive pedal. (tues or wed).
