I located a contractor that works for an autobody shop in town. He is going to spray my shells with coarse white pearl and a clearcoat. ALL of my shells for $300.
For the record: Automotive grade paint job> DW paint job. I will have a DIY Riolo/Amdrumparts kit with a high end finish total: oh, about $2800 vs $8,000+ for a DW.
Once this professional, automotive grade finish is applied, it will annihilate any argument for expensive custom kits.
Get ready for some "wicked sick" drums...
