Here's a few shots of my first snare...
The shell, hoops, and hardware were purchased from AM Drum, but the dye was purchased through another online vendor. It's water-based and is protected by 5-6 coats of Minwax Polycrylic gloss. The pinup a Carlos Cartegena and was printed on white-backed waterslide paper, then transferred to the drum after the 2nd coat of poly. The drum has a VERY defined *CRACK!* and is warm with subtle overtones. No excess ringing and no muddyness whatsoever!
