Wrap Inlays

I understand and know how to install drum wraps of all types, whether by glue or tape. What I can find or completely understand how to do, is insert wrap inlays into the wrap finish. (Example: say I want to install a new finish . . . I want a silver glass glitter finish w/ a red glass glitter stripe in the middle.) How would I insert stripes/inlays? Also, how do you cut wraps?
