Well they both make fine drums, I've always preferred a 22". With the Great heads today you can get nearly the exact sound out of either drum depending on how you tune it. The Aquarian Super Kick II is my favorite Bass Batter head, tune it evenly as low as it goes almost to where it would wrinkle but not quite. The Front head tune evenly where you like it best. A 20" or a 22" would both sound Great with this set up but you have to make your own choice. Like I said before I'm stricly a 22" man.
